The next result of the collaboration between Razgrom Music and
Swedish digital-label Plonk is the release of the debut album of
MASCHINE BRENNT! Behind MASCHINE BRENNT you will find Joacim Thenander, a
guy with a long experience in making computer-based music. In the late
‘80s he was a member of industrial synth band SYSTEMA THE AFFLICTION,
and later he was the driving force behind the thrashsynth/hiphop
crossover duo CULTIVATED BIMBO. In the ‘90s he released more mainstream
dance music and remixes, mainly house and techno stuff, but also a few
drum’n bass tracks.
MASCHINE BRENNT was in born 1991 only for few live-performances,
but in 2014 project was restarted for creating vintage and minimalistic
electronic music and exploring the topic of the relationship between
human and machines. First digital releases of MASCHINE BRENNT was
published on the label Plonk, which today is a real home for artists who
write music in the genre of «machine-pop».
After a series of successful singles and EP, MASCHINE BRENNT
presents debut full-length album "The Hearing Aid", which includes both
previously released old tracks (which have been specially re-recorded
and remastered) and completely new material. Cold analogue beats and
unflappable robo-vocoders, mathematically calculated melodies and the
nostalgic sci-fi atmosphere - sequential rhythms for man or machine!
For
sure, fans of the classic KRAFTWERK sound, and such projects as
DATAPOP, DEUTSCHE BANK, METROLAND, OIL 10, KRETZ will not be
disappointed.
