The death of a lover is one of the most harrowing things that can happnen to someone and that is exactly what happened to atooishinjuu's lead singer. Their debut full length,'The Death Imprint', documents his struggle with not only coming to terms with her death, but also how this tragic experience has imprinted itself on him and his life. The most heart-wrenching, emotional album we've ever heard, atooishinjuu take the sound they established on 'Give In To You' and add atmospheric sample collages, hand drums, sitar, extreme vocal layering, and most strikingly, personal recordings from their lead singer, to create an album that ebbs and flows, crushes and lulls, screams and cries, and ultimately ends. We'll just leave it at this: if album closer 'Isabell Died In The Sunshine' doesn't move you to tears...then you've never really loved anyone...
